Busy, busy, busy

We have been super busy here, though right now we've got a bit of cabin fever with all the snow and cold weather we have been having. Logan is HUGE! With clothes on at the doctor two days ago, he weighed in around 18 1/2 pounds! I installed his convertible big boy car seat yesterday b/c he is so long and was so uncomfortable in the infant seat. He is also teething hard! Poor guy. For most of his naps, he falls asleep teething on his favorite little toy, squeak-squeak-
squeak-pause-squeak-pause-squeak-squeak-pause-pause-pause-squeak-pause-pause-zzzzzz....
It is very cute!

Recent Discoveries and Independences:
  • If he kicks his legs a lot while taking a bath, he can make even bigger water splashes than by smacking the water with his hands!
  • He loves to sit up at the dining room table with mom and dad while we eat dinner and he plays with his toys. We got a chair that attaches to the table, and he just loves it!
  • He is enjoying tummy time a bit more now and even pushes his body up and his bum up and scooches backward a bit, in a mini-proto-backward crawling motion.
  • He is very interested in the food we are eating, the utensils we use, the cups we drink from. But we are holding off on giving him solids until he has a test to determine if he has reflux or not, that will be on the 22nd of this month.
  • He is also very interested in the phone and the remote control and pens, pretty much whatever mom or dad is holding in their hands, he wants in his or in his mouth!
  • He has also realized that if he makes a particular noise and looks directly at Sadie, she will come over to him, often and given him a kiss. He loves this and grabs at her face, ears, whiskers, eyeballs (she is a very tolerant dog - we taught her that no matter what gets grabbed, her response should be a kiss, which she does every single time!)
  • He also enjoys playing peekaboo with dad - a lot - and even tries to guess which direction dad will appear in, though he is more amused when dad doesn't follow a pattern!
More to come!
