All I want to do is jump!
So today has gone like many other mornings, L woke up at 5 ish b/c he had gas and to poop. So I got up changed him, but by 6 am it was completely obvious to all in the house, that he was not going back to sleep. In fact, he took to "jumping" on my belly, which is his "request" to be put in his jumperoo. So here I am downstairs at 6:10 in the morning watching L jump gleefully, smile from ear to ear, and talking excitedly in his jumperoo. And this morning, I am even more thankful that I did not put any batteries in it!

Visit from Uncle T & Aunt P
We had a great time with Uncle T and Aunt P. L got lots and lots of cuddle time with both of them, and we also had a nice snow storm that laid down close to a foot of snow, making some ideal conditions for fun frolicking outside and Uncle T, Aunt P, and J all went cross country skiing at a local park.
The new pictures include one of Mom and L on our family walk in the newly fallen snow. Aunt P and L napping on the couch. L sporting Uncle T's glasses. Uncle T and L. And finally L exploring his toys during tummy time.
L is becoming more and more interactive every day. He is regularly inviting Sadie and J to play. He also thinks that getting licks from S is the greatest! L & K have been more adventurous in our outgoings: we go to water aerobics class together 2-3 times per week and mom and baby yoga on Saturdays. Also he hangs out at Tot Watch at the Y once a week while mom enjoys an exercise class there. Typically on these days, L sleeps really really well! :) This week we took L to the Y's Family Swim time and had a blast. This was the first time that J saw L in the pool. L kicks and splashes and has a fantastic time. He loves the water, and we are hoping to go to Family Swim more regularly since L has such a great time with it.

You're big, dude!
So, on New Years' Eve, L started to really tug on his right ear, and he had this weird cough, and was still pretty snuffly. He also started tugging on his left ear every once and a while. So we thought with January 1 being a holiday, we better get him checked out. When the nurse weighed him, he tipped the scales at 16 pounds even! Holy moly--and not even quite 4 months! And the first thing the doctor said when he walked in the room was "You're big, dude!" Then L got a clean bill of health, probably just a cold, no wax build up or an infection. Though the idea of him teething did come up (please, G-d no!! Not yet!). But now I'm pretty down and out with a cold, and L seems to be a bit more on the mend.
MLA update: I was underprepared for my interview (given the time constraints with the CO leak, I did the best that I could, but I managed to be pretty dazy b/c L nursed every 2 hours the night before I interviewed -- I seriously couldn't remember the names of Hawthorne or Poe as authors who I might teach in a 19th century class). Jim, on the other hand, had over prepared and talked for too long. L also got to meet some of our IC buds, Stacy, Nicki, and Scott; which was super great. Hopefully, when I start to feel better I'll upload some more pictures.
