Jim turned in his book project and the whole family was ready for him to be done with it! Minutes after he hit send, we packed everyone out and headed to Van Atta park for a walk to enjoy the beautiful spring day! On the ride home, we decided to pick up some shrimp at the farm market to grill tonight with our dinner. Here are some pics and video from our day yesterday...

Here's one of J and L walking down the trails...

Here's one of L enjoying his dinner...

And this is a video of L going "mmm mmm mmm" (with a little prompting from us--he of course stopped doing it the second the camera came out!)

Sugar Bush's petting far

I am not always a fan of petting farms or zoos (small pen size, not able to have a real habitat, you get the politics), but L made it worth visiting the indoor "farm" to grab these pics and video! It was pouring rain outside so the noise inside the building is a bit overwhelming. But even over that, you can still hear L's screeches of absolute joy! At one point, he runs in the direction of the turkeys/ducks/chickens. We tried to keep him closer to the ponies since he kept sticking his fingers in to try to pet them too, probably not the best idea.

Here he is petting the little ponies.

Here he is trying to pick out more feed from the dispenser.

And back to the horses to look for some more pony kisses!

Grape Ver Jus

This afternoon we made veggie cornbread and then a raspberry and strawberry custard pie. I guess Logan was really in the mixing mood because once we were done and cleaning up, he started to make his own version of dessert! It is a bit long, but it was just too cute to cut or to choose which video!

Another magical moment!

Here is L performing a "magic trick" - ta dah! It is the case of the disappearing dinner cup under the napkin! He must be picking up some tricks from Pop Pop with magic skills like this at such a young age. He does it several times, each time very pleased with himself, and then stops for a snack (gobble gobble is his generic term for most poultry, live or on the plate). Then he goes back to performing. I'd say that this qualifies as a mastery over the concept of object permanence. Regardless of what it is, it's pretty cute!

Llama Llama Red Pajama

Here's a great video (but LONG 2:32m) of us reading Llama Llama Red Pajama together. L loves to pipe in with "Mama!" So cute and worth it if you have time! Thank you M for recording this for us during your visit today--I know Grammy will be thankful!
