So two of these are from the other day. L got a new shirt that looks similar to one that J has, and so of course when he wore it we needed some pics, especially with his sporty visor. We also needed to make sure we captured on film his very L way of playing. A lot of kids sit up to play, but not L: he is too cool for school -- he leans on his forearm and kicks back to enjoy his books. And the last pic is of L "helping" while I put away groceries. Here, he is relocating the Thai fish sauce into the crisper drawer. Very helpful indeed. He was very mad when I moved him away from his "helping" spot! He was determined to place the chocolate sauce in there as well.

Helping mom out!

When one door closes...
This morning, L and I retired to his room so he could nurse and then I could put him down for a nap. J said he was going to pop out to Panera to pick us up some coffee. Usually he takes Sadie with him; she waits in the front seat until he gets back with some bread samples. But I guess today he didn't take her. I didn't realize this until L was drifting off to sleep while nursing, his door closed, I heard what sounded like a pan fall to the floor. But L was in that crucial, don't breathe phase or I'm going to wake up and potentially scream phase. I sat there with him going into a deep sleep while Sadie cruised the counters, the sink, and everything else she could get his dirty little paws on until she was caught red-pawed when Jim walked in from Panera. She scored curried pork chop juices and remnants of some coconut rice, along with some pork grissle and some other plate remainders. Crazy dog! I am thankful though that it wasn't a(nother) diaper though.

All before noon...
Today was a rough mom day! Logan is on the move and if engineers could harness his energy global warming would not even remotely be a problem. L woke up at 5:23a. I managed to cajole him back to sleep by 6, but he would have no part of it and was up again at 6:33a. At that point, I turned him over to J, since I had been up with him a lot during the night, teething, etc. J, L, and Sadie went on an early morning drive and hike. He had a late breakfast and went down for a short nap. I heard rustling and decided to check up on him -- Good thing, because I walked in his room and he was STANDING and looking decidedly proud of his accomplishment. After his nap, he was full of energy and spunk. He pulled himself up (or tried to) on me, on the chair, the ottoman, the coffee table, his toy basket, the laundry basket, the diaper organizer, and the changing table. He also dumped his entire toy basket and book basket all over the floor, got into the lazy susan and removed the majority of his food bowls, crawled all over the kitchen, dining room, and living room, played for a bit under his jumperoo, tried to eat two of Sadie's bones and one of her tennis balls, he also gave himself lots of kisses in the mirror, and "chased" an empty water bottle around the kitchen floor.
THEN, we went to the chiropractor at 10:30a. Here he was lavished with attention from the secretaries while I got adjusted, and then he got some treatment too. Then, we came home and had lunch. Of course, needless to say, I'm exhausted today and really wishing I could lead a caffeine-full lifestyle!

All splash
L is a no fear swimmer, no tears, just all splash! When we take the class, we have to distance ourselves from other little ones because he splashes so much!
