Halloween and promises

I feel like I am so behind on my posting, but I think it is just more that we have been pretty busy and have a lot of photo opportunities. Here are some fun pictures from Halloween and the slideshow of all the pics that I have so far (Barb has some too) will be loaded to your left.

Here's one of Logan and I while we were trick or treating.

Here's one with him carrying the bag that Grammy bought for him--though he kept stealing Caleb's hard pumpkin pail!

Here is Josh (the Angler fish), Caleb (the dragon), and Logan (the ninja)!

Go Ozzy!

Pumpkin and Apple Picking

L and I discovered Clearview Orchards in Haslett. Definitely not as wonderful as the orchard that Jim and I used to go to in Iowa City (Wilson's) mostly due to the lack of fresh turnovers, but it will do for now. We enjoyed the beautiful fall weather and gave Jim a much needed quiet house to work on his manuscript. We did some mini-pumpkin picking (as Logan couldn't pick the big ones!) And then we filled the pockets of our fleece with as many apples as would fit! L also picked out two mini-mini gourds for his friends C & J.

Here's our little gourmand smelling the gourds!

L thought it was pretty neat to walk along and find pumpkins on the ground - little autumnal surprises.

Here he is picking an apple all by himself. I missed the one of him trying to smell the apple on the tree, but suffice it to say, it was pretty darn adorable!

We're actually in the parking area for this one, but I had put the pumpkin down to load some of the stuff into the car, and Logan got all excited about the discovery again!

Here's a self-portrait of us on the beautiful day!

Tenterffic!

Here are some cute ones of L and C playing in the tent! So much fun! Sadie was not fond of it since it took up valuable getaway space, but the boys had a great time!

Coffee Table v. Logan

While I'm sure that this will not be the first big bruise and black eye, it was nonetheless fairly traumatic! L and I were playing around his fun little Ikea tent (pictures of him playing with his buddy C to come), he fell head first into the edge of the coffee table. Immediately, he had a scratch and a bump, but as the day wore on, it completely turned into a shiner. He doesn't seem worse for the wear, but he does look pretty tough now. If only Halloween were this weekend!

Here's Jim with our little bruised boxer. Maybe next time he'll win his battle with the long time competitor, the coffee table.

This one you can actually see if fairly up close and even see the scrape he got (the one by his eyebrow) from the day before when he fell into the front screen door.
